Project Goal: Gas supply for the Fergana Valley, which is located at the end of Uzbekistan's gas distribution system, was always a major problem for the Republic of Uzbekistan. With the opening of the Khodzhaabad Underground Gas Storage (UGS) having an active capacity up to 1.8 billion cubic meters, the problem of supplying gas to large population centers in the Andizhan Region, including the Fergana Valley, was solved. The President of Uzbekistan personally oversaw the construction of the facility, which was completed in record time. It took five months from the date of supply of the main compressor equipment to start-up. The work for the construction of the UGS was highly praised by the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
