Project Goal: In light of its limited reserves of gas, Ukraine has been forced to depend on its low-yield deposits and those that are difficult to exploit. One of these deposits is the Lokachi Gas Field with its high-sulfur and high-mercapatan gas. To solve this problem, BSI Industries, Inc. designed and supplied equipment for a sulfur recovery and gas treatment unit. The adsorption unit processes more than 200 million cubic meters of high-sulfur gas annually, providing fuel for local industrial and civil facilities.
Location: The Volynskaya Oblast in Ukraine
Client: NAK Naftogaz Ukrainy, a Division of Ukrgazvidobuvanya
Project Scope: Design, including base and detailed plans, supply of equipment, construction management, start-up and commissioning work, including guarantee testing of equipment. Base and detailed designs included process schematics, material balances, P&IDs, assembly drawings, auxiliary equipment, automation system, electric equipment and a full set of working documentation (construction, mechanical, control-metering-automation, electrical, etc.).
