Project Goal: This project was the logical continuation of the project for the construction of the Sulfur Recovery and Gas Treatment Unit on the Lokachi Gas Field (high-sulfur and high-mercaptan gas) in the Volynskaya Oblast. It was proposed to utilize regeneration gas that was previously diverted to the flare and to use it as fuel for electric power generators. Ukrgazvidobuvanya accomplished two things at once: it increased profit by generating and selling 10 megawatts of electric power and it prevented the release of toxic emissions into the atmosphere.
Location: The Volynskaya Oblast in Ukraine
Client: NAK Naftogaz Ukrainy, a Division of Ukrgazvidobuvanya
Project Scope: Base and detailed design, including an environmental impact report, supply of equipment, construction management, start-up and commissioning work, guarantee testing, process schematics, material balances, P&IDs, assembly drawings, control-metering-automation, electric facilities, etc. A full set of working documentation (construction, mechanical, control-metering-automation and electrical) was supplied.
